5. How do I bid?
Easy. Just
Click Here and follow our 5 Easy Steps to Getting Started.

6. Why did I get outbid so quickly?
Because the person that you are bidding against has placed a proxy bid higher than the amount you entered. To understand a proxy bid read FAQ #8 below. For example, person A has placed a $20 proxy bid on an auction for Augusta . Right now the current bid on Augusta is for $6 and you place a regular bid of $10. The computer is automatically going to bid $12 for person A. Let's say you then place your own proxy bid of $30. Now the computer will bid for both of you until it reaches a limit. In this case person A had the same $20 proxy set, so you would now hold the high bid of $22. Important - if a proxy bid is set, this will not show up in the bid history. It will only show the highest bid.

7. How did I outbid myself?
If you are currently the high bidder of an auction, and get back in to raise you maximum Proxy Bid, the system will record you as a new bidder. This will cause you to outbid yourself. We are adding a new feature that will allow the system to recognize you as the same bidder, but for now, you will outbid yourself by the $3 bid increment. If you win an auction, and have outbid yourself, please contact
Customer Service and we will charge you for the lesser of the two bids, as long as no other bids were placed on that auction.

8. How did I get outbid after the auction closing time?
Auctions on the Playerscores.com site are not officially closed until the Time Left reads "COMPLETED". Every auction on the Playerscores.com auctions site has a
Dynamic Closing Time . This means that anytime a bid is placed within the last five minutes of an auction, the closing time is automatically extended 5 minutes. This feature prevents people from waiting until the last second and submitting a winning bid that would not allow another bidder the chance to place their own bid. We use this feature to make sure all auctions are fair, and every user has a chance to place a winning bid. The Dynamic Closing Time will extend five minutes after every bid that is placed within the last five minutes of an auction.

9. What is Dynamic Closing Time?
Dynamic Closing Time means that anytime a bid is placed within the last five minutes of an auction, the auction is automatically extended 5 minutes. Once an auction is in the "Extended Period" the Dynamic Closing Time will extend five minutes after every bid, so that all bidders will have 5 minutes to place their own bid before an auction is considered "COMPLETED". Once an auction goes into the "Extended Period" it is no longer listed on any of the active auction lists. The only way to get to the auction is through the auction link in the Bid or Outbid e-mails. This allows only the active bidders of an auction access to place bids. An auction is not officially closed until the Time Left states "COMPLETED". If the Time Left does not state "COMPLETED" then the auction is still open for bids. We have added this feature to make the auctions fair, and prevent bidders from "stealing" an auction in the closing seconds. It is the responsibility of each bidder to make sure they watch the auction closely to ensure they have the winning bid.

10. How Does the Bidding Work?
With the Playerscores.com Bidding System you can set a maximum price that you would be willing to pay for an item, this is officially called a proxy bid. Your bid will be placed at the lowest possible winning amount. Then, Playerscores.com will automatically place bids for you if anyone else bids. These bids will be at the lowest possible winning amount up to your maximum bid. The system will stop bidding for you once your maximum price is reached. Thus, you will never pay more than the maximum amount entered as your bid. Whatever price you enter in the "Bid Amount" box will be your maximum bid.

11. Why did the bids in the bid history "jump" by more than the $3 bid increment?
Whenever you place a Bid it will be entered at the lowest possible winning amount. Whenever you see a jump in the bids, this is because two users are using the Proxy Bid system and the two Proxy Bids are going against each other. This will show up as a jump in the bid history, and the higher of the two Proxy Bids will be listed at $3 above the lower Proxy Bid. If the two Proxy Bids happen to be within $3 of each other, the higher of the two Proxy Bids will be listed at its full value. This is the only time in the Playerscores.com bidding system that someone can win a bid by less than the bid increment.

12. Why was my Bid entered at more than $3 above the previous bid?
This is because the bidder who currently had the highest bid, had their own Proxy Bid placed. Your Proxy Bid will always be entered at the lowest possible winning amount. Whenever you see a jump in the bids like this, it is because two Proxy Bids are going against each other.

13. How was I beat by less than the $3 bid increment?
The only time you can be beat by less than the $3 bid increment at Playerscores.com, is when two Proxy Bids are going against each other and they are within $3 of each other. The only way to decide this case is by choosing the higher of the two Proxy Bids.

14. Why was I beat by a bid lower than my maximum Proxy Bid?
The only time this happens is if your Proxy Bid is placed, and another user places a Regular Bid within $3 of your Proxy Bid maximum. The reason we award the auction to the lower Regular Bid, is to make sure Proxy Bidders do not gain an unfair advantage over the $3 bid increment. A cunning Proxy Bidder could place Proxy Bids in appropriate spots, and be able to win auctions by less than the $3 bid increment. Also, the Proxy Bid is essentially bidding for you, and when a Regular Bid is placed, you have to beat it by the $3 bid increment. If your Proxy Bid is not capable of beating a Regular Bid by the full $3 bid increment, then the high bid will be awarded to the lower Regular Bid.

15. When can I use the golf?
Each auction has specific valid dates that the rounds of golf are good through. Typically, the auction is valid for one week and you must call the course to schedule a tee time.

16. What if my tee time is rained out?
If your tee time is rained out and the course is closed please call the Pro Shop and explain what happened. Most courses will honor the auction for the following week. If the golf course will not honor your round the next week and they were closed due to weather please contact us at
info@playerscores.com and we will be glad to help. IMPORTANT - NO REFUNDS will be offered on any auctions unless the course is closed due to weather.

17. What if I did not use the rounds that I won, or I could not use them?
By placing bids at Playerscores.com you are agreeing to pay for the items if won. You are responsible for payment whether you use the rounds or not. NO REFUNDS will be offered on rounds unless courses are closed due to weather or other conditions. If it is an extreme situation please call the course and explain. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REFUSE YOUR REQUEST AT THIS TIME. Once you have passed the valid dates your auction is no longer valid. The reason our prices are so low is because each bidder is agreeing to use this auction within a specific time period. Please be aware that we can't re-list auctions if they are not used, thus we must be firm in enforcing this rule.

18. How will I know I have won?
You will receive two e-mails from Playerscores.com confirming your winning bid. The first e-mail will be titled "Congratulation: Confirmation for Item #XXXXXX." This e-mail is the confirmation e-mail you take to the course as your proof to play. The second e-mail will be titled "Invoice for Item #XXXXXX" This e-mail is for your records and is your invoice for the item. This e-mail lists the amount your credit card on file will be charged for the winning bid. After winning an auction you are responsible for calling the course and arranging your tee time. You will not be accepted at the course without a prior reservation and your confirmation e-mail.

19. What do I do after I win?
Print out copy of your confirmation e-mail.

Next, call the course and identify yourself as the winner of the auction on Playerscores.com and reserve a Tee Time.

Take your confirmation e-mail with you to the course and enjoy your round!

20. How do I pay?
Playerscores.com will automatically charge the credit card on your account at the time of the winning bid.

21. Do I have to make a tee time?
Yes! You must call the golf course and schedule your tee time in advance. You will not be allowed to play without a valid tee time and your confirmation e-mail.

22. Is there anything I need to take to the course when I go to play?
Yes, your confirmation e-mails. That is your proof of payment for those rounds of golf. Be sure to leave a positive impression on the course that you play.

23. Can I give my rounds of golf to a friend?
Yes! However, your friend will still have to provide the course with the confirmation e-mail.

24. What about additional twosomes?
We encourage you to take additional golfers with you the day you play. Be sure to call the course and schedule a tee time and then let them know how many people will be joining you. If you win an auction YOU MUST PAY PLAYERSCORES.COM FOR THE COMPLETED AUCTION. Any additional golfers you take to the course will need to pay at the Pro Shop. If the auction you win is offering a Bonus Coupon be sure to take a copy of that with you to the course. Please
Click Here to read more about the Bonus Coupons.

25. How can I get a course involved?
